All the work has been handed in. All links are working. I uploaded my site a CD and I have counter checked that all files have been served.

Progress check

In general I think the layout of my personal website as well the colours and font I chose were good. I kept background is simple for easy readability. 

The group and personal site have given me motivation to want to learn more about dreamweaver as well as writing for web.

All content and picture have added on the site.

Progress update

I have finished  designing my site. All I have left is adding content and profile picture on the site. 

I have generally enjoyed working on both group and personal site. My target audience for my personal was people that felt ashamed of enjoying life’s simple pleasures without worrying about what people would think. 

My main focus of this website was to share with my audience my guilty pleasures; things that make glow inside and I was not ashamed to share. 

I will be adding content tomorrow. I have finished writing my evaluation all I have to do is edit and hand it on wednesday.

Work in progress

I have started designing my personal website and I am also working my resubmission personal website. I have decide to go for guilty pleasures one. 

I am looking at free font on the internet use on my personal websites.

I am in full speed with my articles for the group website. I am editing the articles that I am done with and as well looking at looking what my team members have written as well.

Workshop time

Emily is our website designer and she is still working on the site. We need to start looking for pictures for our articles. I am up to speed with my articles ( so is everyone on team) that I need to submit for the group website.

For my personal site, I have two ideas: Guilty pleasures and Evolution of music. I am still researching on both so I will make my decision when I am done with the research.

We discussed with Steve about whether we're going to use dreamweaver or wordpress, Emily managed to download it but looking at it we've come to the conclusion that it may be that we'll have to use dreamweaver.

We discussed our individual projects with Steve, he wants an actual website now. The individaul site should be created around a theme or subject of the student choice. It only has to be small and concise but it has to have all the information you need, a original feature or two.

Feedback on progress

I am not feeling well today so I did not do much work today. I have started writing a article on tuition fees.

My team kept me up to date with what's going on and what everyone is expected to do. After the discussion of article ideas.

It was discussed that everyone is happy to produce to feature/news stories a week deadline to be tuesday 5pm.

Some of the ideas that were discussed so far are depression- studenet perspective, being away from home, money etc... signs to look out for.

Katie our editor said to keep the ideas flowing still, to be creative and let our personality shine though our writing. The articles should be very personal to reader so that they can sense the writers personality and their humour. They need to be entertaining but getting message across whatever it is.

Individual site ideas

The topic I chose was guilty pleasures as I like to indulge in certain things that people think I should be ashamed of. 

I found dreamweaver easier to use as I learnt more things on how to use it from my team members. The group website made me feel comfortable to create my personal site with ease though I did run into difficulty when linking my website to other site but that all sorted now.

Content Management

Content management a system that manages content such as text, images, graphics, videos etc – which allows content to be produced in a structured manner according to approved corporate designs, scrutinized and approved before publication, periodically amended and updated whilst in use and edit, manage and finally publish.

Our group will look into this and see whether we can use this kind of model.

Students here in Farnham UCA have the same problem – what to do as entertainment in Farnham. We often go to the same places i.e. SU or travel to central London for to have fun.

Our mission is to provide all students at Farnham campus with information and ideas which help them get the most out of life as a student. To deliver this Fucazine will ensure that students can easily access information they need.

Our purpose is to provide a platform for students who want to know where to go or what to do and what to chat with other students on Fuca forum. Fucazine will provide basic information about a variety of places and things to do as well as other news and details like events or where to get student discounts and all the good things to do in Farnham.

We hope you find Fucazine both informative and fun.

Fucazine - Homepage

Fucazine homepage: The colour for the homepage is purple as it isn't gender specific. This same as skins and e4 site which are popular youth culture sites. The colour green was avoided as it may relate us to the uni site too much.

We got feedback from Steve about the first draft of the site. Here is what he had to say:

FUCA news- He suggest to us that anything with the word 'news' in it means we have to update it all the time, and as there's not a lot news around Farnham, and probably not a lot of content to update regularly, so we need to re-think of the name.

Gallery- we need to be clear what the gallery will feature at the moment it is not that clear as to what the gallery actually is. We think about whether we should either put into sub-categories under the main Gallery heading- of union nights, stop and shoot, etc. Or just have the gallery as union drunkered nights and make it more clear.

Steve said not to do too much on Dreamweaver just yet, as it isnt a definite platform and that we must focus on the content that will go on our website first.

Fucazine

The group that I have joined is going to produce an online magazine in the style of Heat magazine but the focus is on students around the Farnham campus of UCA. The homepage template for the website is finished.
